The pace of British naval construction before the First World War is I think the unbelievable they're laying down multiple ships multiple capital ships every year entire classes. So do we have any sense of what kind of the expected lifespan was of something like the warspite was in those years? As far as it depends on circumstances how well built a warship was and what its fighting power was because if you look at the battle cruiser Tiger which was laid down in 1912 and completed 1914 a battle cruiser light skinned but capital sized shaped and heavily armed.
