Why Did Solomon Write the Song of Songs?

Solomon was typical of many men. He had a lot of wisdom for everybody else but not much for himself. Unfortunately he didn't listen to himself. He preached but he didn't practice. Now here's my theory of all those thousand women, only one was God's choice for him. Some scholars say it is a plot of three people, a triangular tug of war or tug of love. And the whole Song of Songs is seen as this triangle and the girl in the middle wondering which way to go. It makes an interesting plot and a jolly good sermon because you can finish the sermon with a moving appeal,. will you choose the prince of this world or the good shepherd? See
