Conservative watchdog group Media Research Council tested search terms for Republican candidates on three different engines, Google, Bang, and DuckDuckGo. The MRC's analysis found that Google buried 10 of the 12th campaign websites for GOP candidates on the second page or even lower in the search results. Meanwhile, the sites of their Democratic opponents appeared on the first page and as organic results as opposed to paid results. On Friday, the GOP filed a lawsuit against the tech giant for allegedly directing Republican candidates' emails to spam folders at much higher rates than Democratic candidates.
