The Origins of Melchizedek

The description of Melchizedek in the book of Hebrews is very different from what you read in Genesis. Some would say yes he's Christ he's Christ pre-incarnate Christ but it just may be that what the author means is that his genealogy isn't listed in the narrative. It seems to me one of the purposes of general revelation is to sort of pave the way if you will for accepting something a saving understanding.
