The Repetitive Belt Effect of Running Downhill

There's been more and more studies looking at the repetitive belt effect of running downhill. Once you run downhill once and then do subsequent downhill sessions, your muscle breakdown attenuates. So it becomes less and less as you start training for the downhill. There was a cool study actually that came out in 2022 in the European Journal of Sports Science. And they had athletes do two by 30 minute downhill sessions. Their biomechanics and neuromuscular output were also getting better on their repetitive belt effect.
