The Gap Between Shamanism and Animalism

Not all animist cultures are also what I would call shamanic to use, you know, Eliade's original definitions. Not every culture has that role and the cultures that do have specific beliefs and principles that go along with having someone in that role. And so that's the space that I'm interested in exploring of what does it look like when we try to reclaim the ability to engage that role in our culture.
