The Story of the War Horse
War Horse is a good example of a written book about the First World War. The horse, Joey, and his relationship with Albert are essential to the whole story. I guess it's about a relationship between a boy and a horse but mostly in port, it's about the universal suffering of war. Do you feel that you really need children to read these kinds of stories? You don't want to protect them too much, that it's important that they know.
