Capitalism is completely rased racism, racial discrimination, racial thinking shapes the entire housing market in such ways. And so part of the reason why white housing during this period has value is because of the sense of the normativity of the white home space. The further it is away from the perceived disfunction of black families, black neighborhoods, black communities and black people themselves, the more that it accrues in value. Is housing at its most base, extractive? A form in which the the social use the social function of housing as a heart in a heartless world?"
