The Importance of Pro-GDP and Productivity

We have to be very vigilant about making sure that we don't get too bound up in our measurements and metrics. We can't afford, you know, with respect to GDP, a lot of it is correlated to how much fossil fuel you burn. And we need to find forms of GDP that are not effectively highly correlated with carbon. I think where we are is that we're in a very delicate place where capitalism has served us well and is sputtering.
