I was inspired to become a writer when I was very young by comic books and Stephen King. If I keep doing this, I get to write in all these different modes that I enjoy. My internal pressures are so much more intense than anything outside. What's been your biggest disappointment along the way? In one of my zombie novel has people who like it a lot. How do you come back from a catastrophe, a personal catastrophe, a societal catastrophe? How do we remake ourselves after a disaster? And they didn't appreciate some of those musings.
