Learning astrology can feel super complicated and overwhelming—but it really doesn’t have to be. Over the years, through my own journey and teaching hundreds of students, I’ve seen that there are five clear levels of learning astrology. Once you know where you are on the path, it becomes so much easier to know your next step.
In this episode of the Quietmind Astrology Podcast, I walk you through these five levels—from the “Insta Astrologer,” who scrolls TikTok memes, to the experienced astrologer who can read any chart on the spot with accuracy and insight. You’ll hear how I personally moved from Western astrology into Vedic astrology, why I follow the sidereal system, and how my mentors helped me turn confusion into clarity. I’ll also share how you can use your own chart (and charts of people close to you) to deepen your skills and start moving toward giving accurate, embodied, and inspiring readings.

Highlights:
- Level one is what I call the Insta astrologer. You might see funny memes on Instagram or TikTok and know your sun sign, but that’s just scratching the surface. It’s like having an iPhone and only using it to check the weather.
- When you get to level two, you become the astrology friend. You’re the one people go to when Mercury goes retrograde or an eclipse happens, and you can explain what’s going on in the sky.
- Level three is the hobby astrologer. You’re reading books, pulling up charts, maybe even doing free readings, but you don’t always feel confident yet. This is where imposter syndrome often shows up.
- Level four is the astrology practitioner. You’re reading charts regularly, maybe asking for donations, and people are giving you honest feedback that helps you grow.
- Level five is the experienced astrologer: accurate, embodied, intuitive, observant, and uplifting. You can look at any chart like you’d read a book, and you know how to find the potential in every placement.
