Leaving the Welsh Workhouse

John Rowlands lived in a Welsh workhouse until the age of 15 when he escaped. His mother had two more kids and she wasn't gonna take care of them but they were also young enough that she couldn't just drop them out. The workhouse basically I think made her kind of hang around to finish breastfeeding them and stuff before she could abandon them. So she's there for a while with her other kids before she abandons them too. And yeah not great. At least you know that the records the record keeping there is good. Yeah it's really good record keeping absolutely.
