In this episode, B.R and Nathan sit down with Slade AKA SlayderRaider of Irregular Defense. Slade shares his beginnings growing up in Hawaii and playing in punk bands, joining the Navy and becoming a SEAL right as the War on Terror kicked off, and how his time on the teams took their toll on his mind, body and spirit. Slade shares the strain of constant deployments on the individual as well as their family, the urge to push through serious surgeries to return to work and not let teammates down, how he came to understand the endless wars while serving and retiring to be a family man while still able to physically play with his children.
The lads also talk recovering from self medicating to sobriety, escaping the rat race to be free individuals, returning to old school ways of living, raising your sons to be peace loving riflemen, self-improvement, clean eating, the value of real community, how the 'State of Jefferson' is real even without being legally defined, and much much more!
