The Periodic Table of Elements

There are 92 known naturally occurring elements plus about 20 more that have been artificially created. Each element has its own unique atomic number, its own unique name and chemical symbol. Usually the symbols consist of the first one or two letters of the elements English name but some older elements have symbols based upon their Greek or Latin names.
