What Is the True Cinnamon?
Sri Lanka was never noted historically as like the place until the Portuguese again, quote, discovered it. They then made it into a monopoly and they started selling it and blew the market up. The English then take over, I think in like the 1700s or something because the English also colonized essentially all of India and Pakistan as well. By that point, someone had smuggled it out here and there and they started planting it everywhere else.
