Over 75% of new molecular entities with priority rating have been financed by National Institutes of Health. The prices set for the drugs, the medicines that people have to buy in order to survive when they have these terrible diseases should reflect this public contribution. Another one would be conditions on profits being reinvested in those areas where there have been very large government subsidies or handouts. They shouldn't be conditionless. I mean, if companies want to go completely free market, fine, go free market, don't get a penny from the state. We should be actively co-shaping and co-creating this space.
