The Silicon Valley Bank appeared to do was a bad choice but we have lots of common stocks that do not have the level of risk that banks have. The damage will have been contractionary actions that have occurred as a result of this concern about the banks. We don't know what any investigation will find but on the face of it making a decision to go long and your bond portfolio is in no way criminal.
