For rousseau, authenticity ultimately is something that is not only compatible with orality, but in some ways absolutely constituted by by morality. A neach, on the other hand, i think, as is, his understanding of authenticity is diametrically opposed to that. The self and its development really requires a constant, a, you know, kind of a not not mastery over our desires.
