The Origin of the Devil in Capricorn, and It's an Initiation
A lot of older cultures, their original devil was actually, and their original hell was under water. The idea of the devil with goat legs and horns and wings is more like a Baphomet sort of thing. It's almost like the whale is a moving, living portal in and of itself. There's a number of stories of people being eaten, you know, by a whale for several days before they're able to exit or whatever. Like Jonah and the whale being in the mouth of the whale, it is an initiation.
