CHAPTER

The Racism and Greed of the Era

There was an attempt to create a railroad system across the province of Nova Scotia from Halifax Harbor all the way to Montreal and points west. The problem was by putting railroad tracks through Africa you're putting it through the back yards of black families that own those lands. Those are lands that were ceded to those families for the military service during the war of 1812 and also during the American Revolution. They used immigrants to take away the jobs on the docks so that where blacks used to work as you know as Steve adores on the docks there and unloading ships suddenly it was immigrants being used to do that in order to gain the land.
