Andi: If you had removed the sort of base racism and ugliness of trump, and just left in the populism garry, the speeches were nearly indistinguishable. They are drawing on traditions deeply rooted in the american past. The gospel of free trade has to be recognized for what it was,. It's a ideology, even o theology, that you buy into and don't question. There is an inflection point when ideas that were marginal can enter the main stream and become part of serious political debate.
