The first reference to 25th december as christmas is in the roman filicale and calendar of 354 so what was happening in all those years before like... oh man that's early isn't it that's very early yeah. can see how the two traditions might have been integrated gentlyohYeah no good yeah absolutely and there's there's uh again i think it's not exactly shrouded in mystery i wouldn't say that but it's sort of fairly ambiguous at exactly what point it was canonized.
