The Power of Banned Books

It's been exactly one year since our first ever meeting of the Velshebann Book Club. The books that are most frequently targeted for ban almost always explore at least one of the same three themes: Race in America, sexual identity, and women's bodily autonomy. This isn't something that's going away. It's actually getting worse. And it's the next generation that's going to pay the price for this. They're being left without a safe way to understand themselves and the world around them.
