The Role of BNP in Diagnosing Heart Failure
The latest European Society of Cardiology guidelines came out in 2021. The main thing that came out from the guidelines is that we're using BNP to diagnose heart failure, but that we have to act on it early. Having a heart failure as a suspicion for a diagnosis in our mind is the major driver here. If you think somebody has symptoms that may be related to heart failure, check BNP.
