Running in Athletics
We made the shoes, but we made them for the sport that we were actually working in. We went to athletics meetings. And athletes would come around and help us get our factory up and running. So we became part of a fraternity. But I had a very bad experience because we're growing that well. A friend of mine who was a sales director of a company which made football boots. He suggested that they act as our sales distribution. Great. This worked fantastic for 18 months, maybe two years. The sales manager then left the company - so my friend left the company and went to work for barter. It just sent them out of business. Because now we had no distribution.
