The World Health Organization report on drinking water that I'll post in the show notes also cites a 26 year old male who had liver failure and cirrhosis. And they attributed this to 30 milligrams of supplemental copper per day for two years and 60 milligrams per day for up to a year. So there are some outstanding questions of, is there an area analogous to iron where we can be relatively bad at homeostatically controlling our copper concentrations?
