The Origins of My Love of Dinosaurs

John Sutter: I think my love of dinosaurs was and is partly that I was the kind of kid who liked lists. But it was also that Montessori school is this wonderful experience where for too much money, your child sits in a room and you don't have teachers standing in front of you putting stuff on the board and giving you homework. You are basically, you sit in a room full of what I thought of as toys, lots of books and activities and gadgets and things,. And so school wasn't a chore, and it encouraged you to reach out and pursue whatever your various interests were.
