The Goldilocks Problem: How Much Protein Should You Eat?

The average American eats 65% of their protein at one meal late in the day. When you go into a nighttime fast, your muscle becomes very idle. Muscle becomes catabolic and it's breaking down. Until you have a meal that has at least 30 grams of protein, at least 2.5 grams of lusine, you're catabolic. The meal effect of protein gives you an anabolic period of about two hours.
