The Benefits of Vitrification
The University of Minnesota has successfully vitrified, re-warmed, and then transplanted rat kidneys. They have now moved on to working with pig kidneys, which are much closer to the size of a human kidney. Scientists also in this field say they think that we can get a lot of benefits from not getting that cold.
