How to Set a Marketing Budget for Your Startup

If you have a sales driven motion your sales team has to eat. You can't not pay them. So in a sense, the sales cost is almost fixed okay now it has variables and it has dependencies. But it's going to be really really hard for you not to spend 25 to 30% of your ACV of your first year deal on sales. If you're inefficient will go up but there's some number there you've got to calmly sit down and it's kind of a rock.
