The Fed does not have an enviable job trying to manage a dual mandate of inflation and unemployment. I'm pretty skeptical of whether or not that's possible. It's certainly never been done. And so you can also have the opposite where you have societies and economic periods where unemployment is super high. The trade off for that is that sometimes the rate of inflation is really low.
