The Story of John's Canoe

Two islanders dropped their weapons and steered a hand made canoe out to meet him. One unarmed islander stood just inches away, so john handed him more gifts. Then the young boy who'd been aiming a bow released an arrow directly at him. It landed in the middle of john's bible. He yanked the arrow from the book, threw it back towards the boy, then dove into the water. With his kayak gone, he had no choice but to swim back to the boat. In the scripture, the prophet isaiah predicts imminent judgment, but eventual restoration for obstinate people.
