Dante's Mistake in Paradise
Dante at first stumbles a bit you don't expect it because he's already traversed so far. He goes blind momentarily at this point in paradise and I think what this is saying is that he's momentarily lost touch with that which is opening and expanding within him. It was also a moment where he had to adjust and developing virtues by adjusting to reality. Feeling how love for example neighbors you to reach out but to reach out wisely not just blindly is a key part of developing the virtues.
