What's the Barrier to Entry in Analytics?

Anlytics can mean anything, maybe even reaching into the data engineering side of the hos. What's really changed in this time that's enabled that process? O think the barrier to entry has got much lower, definitely. But also, i think people embrace data in a different sense as well.
