Immutable started as a games company. They recruited Chris Clay, who was at Wizards of the Coast, to start building it out. The volume of transactions that were required in order to sort of like operate the game properly was way, way too high. So essentially, what the Layer 2 solution does and layman's turns is two things. One, it allows for you to mint and create entities at scale in a way that's cost efficient for both users and for developers,. But two, and I think that this is actually really important: It inherits a lot of the security that comes inherently from Layer 1.
