The Government's Decision to Release WhatsApp Unredacted
Boris Johnson said he had no problem handing over the material completely unredacted. The government has claimed this was unambiguously irrelevant material that it didn't want to pass on. It is normal for an inquiry to redact material before it's put into the public domain. There are procedures in place for dealing with this kind of material.
