Using the Word Self Compassion in an ABA Setting?
I could totally see how the safety commitment model that he described could be used from an organizational perspective, you know, in an ABA setting. I've done quite a lot of work with police officers and ambulance officers who are quite blokey blokes. If I was to start using the word self compassion in that kind of setting of the word self, what are you on about that? That's a bit girly, isn't it? What's all this crap? Yeah. So I don't talk about it that way. You know, what I say is you imagine you're going through a really rough patch has all sorts of difficulties in your life. It's really stressful.
