The President's Latest Demands on Cutting Social Spending
GOP Rep. McCarthy wrote a letter to President Obama calling on him to negotiate with the GOP over spending cuts and new policies. He cited Biden's support for welfare reform in the 1990s, saying it was 'cringy' that he is now opposed to such measures. Pelosi: The Republican Party has little to stand on here. Refusing to raise the debt ceiling would mean there would be a global economic collapse. That wouldn't just be bad for all of us, it would be bad for them too.
