The AGI problem is so bad because we don't understand our systems at all. The modern AI systems like Chachie Bt and all the other ones that we've seen are neural network systems. And these are fundamentally different from how we usually build software. We're in a very, very primitive state of having any kind of causal story or understanding about them.
