What Is the Commonly Accepted Wisdom of Psychedelics?

Plants of the Gods has as a subtitle, Hallucinogen's history, culture, and conservation. But my question to you is, why now? We have Ruck and Hoffman coming out with this book decades ago,. John Allegros, the mushroom in the cross, which postulated some similar things. And they were laughed at, derided, disregarded, ignored. Now, thanks to your book and other efforts, this is part of the commonly accepted wisdom. Why are we accepting it now and why didn't we accept it then? I have no idea, is the honest answer.
