Children's Vaccines

In the early days, vaccines not only gave protection from disease, but they also seem to impact on infection and transmission. But over time, as the viruss evolved, we see that protection from infection, and therefore from transmission, has beene reduced. As most children generally don't get such severe e disease, then it's a difficult call for people in charge of a vaccine roll out ato whether or not ar to offer it kids. I think what we need to do is start to them move towards things like a nasal vaccine - where you re administering the vaccine direct into the nose or into the upper respiratory area. That will generate mucosal immunity much better at protecting from infection.
