Jean Maskell and 11 other survivors received settlements from the archdiocese ranging between 25,000 in addition for funds for two to three years of continued counseling. The judge threw the suit out as well and said, we're not able to take this to court because their memory, these women are not credible. And there was a lot of stuff about repressed memories. Now we know more about trauma and all of that. But in the 90s, they really were like, we can't trust these people.
