The Stroke of John Federman - A Great Midterm Success Story
John Federman ran as a kind of left wing populist and took positions on matters like criminal justice that were fairly left. His disability which showed up terribly in the debates where he was almost incomprehensible at times, actually brought out a lot of sympathy for him. But I would be reluctant to draw too much from that campaign because it had so many oddities with his stroke,. The governor's race in Pennsylvania was clearly a case where a Trump endorsed guy who believed that the election was stolen, was defeated decisively.
