The Tower of Babel

The myth of the tower of Babel is that all of a sudden everybody's got different languages and they can't understand each other. I think it's a metaphor you could say in any intimate relationship has a tower of Babel element to it. You moved into it, as you said, through desire, through sense of connection and wanting to connect further. There are a few hermits, but they're not really dealing with this question the same way that the rest of the lay practitioner community is.
