How many emotion words do we actually use regularly? I mean, we experience most of these emotions pretty often. But there's so many more emotions and some of these are really triggering. What about humiliated, betrayed, disrespected, ridiculed, furious, jealous? The reason this is important work is twofold. We can't teach our kids to do work that we aren't doing. And the second reason is how can we lead our kids in learning to accept and connect with their emotions if we continue to remain reactive to our own.
