The UN has arbitrarily set November 15th as the day we crossed eight billion people. There's really no way to know exactly, it's not like there is a global person-to-person census. A lot of this is based on modeling and estimations. The early eighteen hundreds would be where we hit one billion for the first time. Then around 1927, we hit two billion,. Only nineteen ninety-nine when we hit six billion. And then, kind of late twenty-eleven, early 20-twelve, seven billion, and now eight billion.
