The Importance of Feudalism in Russia
In 1855, Tsar Alexander II comes into power after the death of Nicholas the first. The first was a classic tyrant and Alexander II was like a reformer. And so he really was aware of how backwards Russia was compared to everyone else. He wanted to bring some capitalism and industrialization of the picture. A good bedrock to build on people should own guys.
