Hawkins's First Album - At Home With Screaming J Hawkin's
Hawkins was dropped by ok and moved to a tiny label where he started recording more idiosyncratic material like armpit number six. His next couple of records were more in the style one might expect from hawkins, a track called nsy and a great libenstalle swamp rocker called alligator wainea anmawa. But neither of those was ther success either, partly because hawkins went too far in the other direction. He had the opportunity to appear in alan fried's film mister rockan role to promote frenzy but insisted on performing naked - apart from a loin cloth. Paramount pictures decided that they didn't particularly want to have their film picketed
