How Do You Address Gaps in Your Resume?
The first step, even before you're actually in the conversation, is to do that inner work to come to terms with it yourself. Then from a more tactical perspective, when you are asked a question like this, i want you to lean in and be positive but also honest. And by the way, one bonus points thing here, when you're explaining a gap, is if the reason you have that gap, or the reason that the last job didn't work out, if you can show why, that is proof that you're better fit for the job you're going after.
