The Importance of Indications on Request Forms
One of our big problems is where requesters don't indicate implant, contrary indications on the request form. So they'll tick no. The patient doesn't have a pacemaker when they do. We'd like more foolproof, fail-safe systems in our electronic requesting system. But at the moment that hasn't been possible so we're really focusing on educating why we need to know every time.
